Room of the Week – calming bedroom

This bedroom, featured in the House to Home gallery has a statement four-poster bed with a modern twist, and uses greens and lilacs to decorate that are very on trend.

This pared down four-poster bed style is great for adding a traditionally styled piece of furniture to a modern interior.  Lombok do a very elegant version in a dark wood finish that would make a great signature piece, this style works really well if you are able to limit the other furniture in the bedroom.

If you want to add a feature wall with a padded effect the Capitone panel from Dreamwall would be perfect.  These panels are supplied either in a white finish or black finish, but can also be painted any colour you choose – this is a very easy way to create a totally personal interior.

With Spring now here there are lots of greens on the high street, especially from the fabric manufacturers.  The Lombardia Chenille from Nina Campbell below would be perfect for adding some green to your interior, and could be combined with purple or lilac to recreate the look of this weeks Room of the Week.

By using pared down furniture with simple, uncluttered furnishings this interior has created a very calm space – just what everyone needs in their bedroom.
