Bethan Grey – Joy for Living auction
I have been a fan of Bethan Grey for a long time. Since her recognition at New Designers back in 1998 she has designed many well known pieces of furniture, especially during her time working for Matthew Hilton at Habitat. One of her recent designs is the Carve table currently nominated for an Elle Decoration Design Award. Surely a design classic of the future the piece is based on furniture found throughout Wales that is designed to cope with uneven slate floors. Another favourite piece is the Brogue table below, manufactured by G&T which is a collaboration between Bethan and Thomas Turner.
For the Joy for Living auction to benefit Maggies Charity Bethan has donated this rather special version of the Brogue table. With the punchy green leather seat I would love to own this table myself! Using leather from Spinneybeck which has been crafted by Harcourt Design this is a totally unique piece. The brogueing on the leather is exquisite and reminds us of a process used for centuries in shoe production.
This table is just one of the pieces to buy at the auction and many other pieces will be auctioned – browse the full list to make your choice, the selection of products is very extensive!

Love Bethan gray naturally. This table is really wonderful – a nice touch of masculinity.
Thanks for your comment Daniel. I am totally in love with this table – the punchy green is fantastic.
