4 products for 4 rooms – living cooking bathing sleeping

August 26, 2010

I’m running a series of blog posts, each covering product recommendations. These are products I have usually specified for clients, so I know they work well. There will be 4 products for 4 different rooms.

The Sonos system allows you to wirelessly play music throughout your home.  This is a great system to install during a renovation project to allow speakers and any wires to be hidden.  A client used it throughout his home with over 20 speakers hidden away.  You can now even control it from your iPhone.

A painted kitchen is a highly desired look for many homes but also comes with a high cost.  For a kitchen we designed in Maida Vale we used Unpainted Kitchens to supply the kitchen cabinetry and then had our team paint the kitchen.  The kitchen was finished in a Farrow and Ball eggshell paint and achieve a painted kitchen look for a very reasonable price.

Bisque have taken the regular towel rail and turned it into an art form.  I recently used their Cobra towel rail for a client in Chiswick who wanted a smart but functional towel rail for the master bathroom.  The Cobra comes in a wide variety of sizes and finishes including Chrome, White and the full range of RAL colours.  Consider adding a summer heating element to any towel rail to allow you to use it when your heating is turned off.

A good bed is essential and the Nador bed from Ligne Roset makes a great choice for any bedroom.  We recently used this for a client in Amsterdam for the apartment she lives in during the working week.  The bed comes in two sizes, and a wide variety of finishes – the options include numerous leather finishes and a wide choice of fabrics.
