Interiors Calendar – March 2011

This is a new monthly feature detailing Interiors focussed events for the following month, for example trade exhibitions, shows, art exhibitions or new store openings. Click on each logo or picture for more information on the event, and please contact us if you have an event you would like us to include next month.

What: EcoBuild
Where: ExCel, London
When: Tuesday 1st – Thursday 3rd March

EcoBuild is the world’s biggest event for sustainable design, construction and the built environment and the UK’s largest construction event of any kind.  This year there are over 1,300 exhibitors and 100’s of new products will be launched at EcoBuild.


What: The Affordable Art Fair
Where: Battersea Park, London
When: Thursday 10th – Sunday 13th March

The Affordable Art Fair has been running for over 10 years and is considered the leading showcase of UK contemporary art priced under £4,000.  It’s a good place to pick up pieces emerging artists, I have bought several pieces there over the years.  

What: John Cullen Lighting Masterclass
Where: King’s Road showroom, London
When: Wednesday 15th March

John Cullen Lighting is hosting a series of master classes to demonstrate how creative lighting techniques can transform design schemes in the house and garden.  Presented by Sally Storey the cost is £25 for the 2 hour masterclass.

What: London Design Week 2011
Where: Design Centre Chelsea Harbour, London
When: Sunday 13th – Friday 18th March

London Design Week showcases new collections in the showrooms of the Design Centre in Chelsea Harbour and also several showrooms on the Kings Road.  Design lectures, masterclasses and professional practice seminars are included in the week-long programme of events.

What: The National Homebuilding & Renovating Show
Where: NEC, Birmingham
When: Thursday 24th – Sunday 27th March

The National Homebuilding & Renovating Show returns to the NEC, Birmingham with over 500 self-build and renovation companies.  It includes a range of free seminars and nearly 50 specialist masterclasses.
