Interiors Calendar – July 2011

This is a monthly feature detailing Interiors focussed events for the following month, for example trade exhibitions, shows, art exhibitions or new store openings. Click on each logo or picture for more information on the event, and please contact us if you have an event you would like us to include next month.

Although the schedule of events calms down in the summer months before beginning again in September, there are still a number of interesting events worth attending.

What: New Designers – Part 2
Where: Business Design Centre, London
When: Thursday 6 July – Sunday 9 July

New Designers brings together over 3,500 design graduates from across all the major disciplines.  Part 2 in early July will feature Product Design, Furniture Design, Visual Communications and Spatial Design.  This is the place to meet the next top designers!

What: Manchester Furniture Show
Where: GMEX, Manchester
When: Sunday 17 July – Thursday 20 July

Visited by many of the top furniture retailers in the country, the Manchester Furniture Show is a great place to review everything currently on offer on the furniture and accessories market.

What: Vintage
Where: Southbank Centre, London
When: Friday 29 July – Sunday 31 July

A 3 day event Vintage celebrates the 1920s to the 1980s.  For collectors of vintage interiors accessories this show is a dream, with a huge range of vintage goods on sale – and you can also relive the music of the era with over 70 live performances.

What: Summer Exhibition
Where: Royal Academy of Arts, London
When: All month

Recognised as one of largest open art exhibitions in the world, the RA Summer Exhibition is held annually in Burlington House on Piccadilly and continues throughout July.  The exhibition has been held every year since 1769, and although more than 1,200 pieces are on display, over 10,000 are actually submitted for consideration.  The vast majority of the pieces are for sale.
