4 products for 4 rooms – living bathing working sleeping

August 4, 2011

I’m running a series of blog posts, each covering product recommendations. These are products I have usually specified for clients, so I know they work well. There will be 4 products for 4 different rooms.

For an ongoing project we needed a supplier who could deliver quickly but also offered flexibility on the style and fabrics.  I found who have a showroom in Chelsea overlooking the Thames.  They carry a large range of sofas in stock – otherwise it’s generally 4-6 weeks for delivery.

The Palomba basin from Laufen has become my favourite wash basin.  The design has evolved from the shape of pebbles and adds a beautiful organic shape to bathrooms that can often be very angular.  The basin comes in a wide variety of options including wall hung, pedestal or with furniture underneath.

For a recent home office we used the amazing Ponti wallpaper from Osborne & Little.  The wallpaper has a very effective holographic appearance and appears to resemble sheets of corrugated metal with an antique finish.  It can make a great feature wall in any room but due to the nature of the finish it is especially suited to a home office or any working space

The Hana range from Habitat is a well designed storage solution for any bedroom.   We recently used it on a project where a plain style of furniture was required in a richly decorated bedroom.  The range has a couple of different sized drawer units, a large range of complementary furniture and is available in either a natural oak or dark stain finish.
