Celebrate Halloween with some ghoulish products from the high street

October 24, 2011

As we head into November it will be time next Monday to celebrate Halloween. A firm favourite in the US calendar for many years, celebrating 31st October has once again grown in popularity on this side of the Atlantic. Its origins are believed to be Celtic when they would light bonfires on the evening of 31st October to ward off the ghosts.  Over the years the traditions and rituals may have changed, but it is always a great time to hold a party! I have held many Halloween parties myself, usually with a coffin coffee table as a centrepiece.

To help you get your party planning started I have selected some high street products to add a ghoulish touch to your event. If you want some decorating ideas for your party you can also read our guide to creating a great Halloween event.

You will find many ranges of themed plates, cups, napkins etc on the high street and in supermarkets. The Breathless Banquet range from Talking Tables is by far the best Halloween range that I have found. Featuring a wide range of products they will help to add a classier touch to your party. The range includes party invites, cups, plates, napkins and bunting.  There are also self adhesive wine labels to add a fun touch to serving drinks – “can I offer you more poison Sir?”

Have fun this Halloween – as the range and quality of products increases every year the party options are endless.  With a little bit of planning and lots of imagination you can create the perfect atmosphere to scare your guests and celebrate Halloween.
