Room of the Week – living room with feature wall

May 2, 2012

This weeks Room of the Week is a living room with a feature wall from Wallunica, one of the Blog Tour NYC sponsors. Featuring a grassland print this wall creates a very peaceful room setting.

Wallunica uses the very latest printing technology to allow you to create your own unique walls. The process is very simple, you upload your own image onto their website or choose one of the collection already on there. Then choose the size you want and they print it for you – easy!

Uploading your own image allows you to create your own bespoke wall covering – maybe an image of a beach for your home office, or your favourite picture of your children for their bedroom? Or have you always wanted to have a piece of NYC in your own home?

If you choose to add a feature wall to a room it is often best to keep the furnishing simple. The wall is the feature and unless you are very clever the other furnishings can easily clash with the picture wall.

The simple style of the Confluences range from Ligne Roset would be a good choice if you have a feature wall. Created by French designer Philippe Nigro the range will allow you to create your own combination sofa in the size you want, and in the shape you want. Available in a wide range of colours you can mix and match any of them to create your desired look.

Take a look at the Wallunica website and start planning your own feature wall. I rather like the large scale Orchid wallpaper below – it would make a great backdrop in a bedroom.

BlogTourNYC was organised by Modenus and was made possible by a long list of wonderful sponsors including Walluncia.
