Win a £400 Crucial Trading voucher

August 31, 2012

With the recent trend for wooden floors in living areas rugs are very much back in demand. Adding a rug into your home will soften the hard look of a wooden floor. It will also add another layer of design and it allows you to add texture and colour to your home.

Finding the right rug isn’t always the easiest, but Crucial Trading  has a great facility to design your own rug online. In our latest give away that runs for the next 2 weeks we are offering a £400 off voucher to one of our readers to use towards the cost of a bespoke rug.

The online process is very straightforward. After selecting the main floor covering you can then complement this with a border, and also an inner border or maybe some piping. The rug is visually shown online to allow you to see it before ordering.  I would also highly recommend that you order individual samples of each element before you place your order. Some of the possible combinations are shown below – you can be as creative as you want to be!

The rugs are reasonably priced for a bespoke rug. For a 2m x 1.5m rug in a similar style to the grey stripe rug above you can expect to pay around £500. For this price you will have a rug that is perfectly designed for your home – and as there are thousands of combinations available you are bound to find something suitable.

Crucial Trading has been in business for 26 years and is well-known as the specialists in natural floor coverings. Focussing on the highest quality natural materials their rugs are hand machined in Kidderminster. Their wider range also includes carpets in wool and mixed fibres and they lead the way with their jute and sisal ranges. A personal favourite is the Mississippi stair runner shown below, we have recently specified this for a project.

To enter our competition go to our Facebook page, like APD Interiors and then tell me where you want your new rug for and also what your design would be? On Friday 14th September we will randomly select a winner from the entries. Full terms and conditions can be found on the Facebook page. Good luck!
