4 products for 4 rooms

July 30, 2013

I’m running a series of blog posts, each covering product recommendations. This week I’ve been reviewing our preferred suppliers list and adding to it. It is always great to find new suppliers to use on our design projects and today we are featuring 4 products for 4 different rooms from some of our discoveries.

Living

We are currently working on a penthouse project and need a coffee table for the reception room which will work in an industrial interior but still be stylish. This table from Bowles & Bowles is perfect, it combines the rigidity of a mesh base with the sleek look of a smoked glass top. Available in copper or zinc it is complemented by their range of other mesh furniture.

Dining

I love the striped back style of this sideboard from Barker & Stonehouse.  I spotted it in their new London store in Battersea, now occupying the old Candle Factory site on York Road in Battersea. Made from reclaimed pine, the design of this product ensures each piece is unique. Although very well suited to a rustic interior this piece would also add an eclectic element if you prefer a slick contemporary style in your home.

Bedroom

I am currently working on an oriental themed bedroom for a client and the furniture from Orchid Furniture will be perfect. This Mandarin bed features lovely fretwork detail in the headboard and is available in a lacquer finish in black, brown or white. The simple style introduces an oriental influence which will be complemented by the client’s artwork purchased while travelling.

Hallway

Adding a mirror to a hallway is a regular trick we use to introduce light into dark spaces. This mirror from Raft is available in two different finishes and four different sizes so is a very versatile product. Raft also have a very extensive range of living, dining and bedroom furniture and much of their range is manufactured in reclaimed teak.
