Mark and Graham

August 6, 2013

I do love a monogrammed product and have been a fan of Mark and Graham for some time now. My own Smythson wallet has an APD detail but in a very subtle British way to personalise the product for me. There is however nothing subtle about the bold modern monograms of Mark and Graham, they add a great design element to an interior. I’m looking for some new bed linen for a project so it was exciting to read on the Bright.Bazaar blog yesterday that they are launching a range of monogrammed bedding soon.

Their current range of products for the home is already very extensive. For dining you can choose from a variety of napkins sizes to suit every possible occasion. Linen cocktail napkins for pre dinner drinks, maybe followed by thick white dinner napkins. Placemats are also available, and then when you move into the kitchen to wash up you can even have monogrammed tea towels. My personal favourites are the linen dinner napkins below, over time they will soften and age – and the bright monogram detail would add a splash of colour to any dinner table.

If you are new to monogramming Mark and Graham have a very helpful guide online that covers the many styles available. Although it can be viewed as a very traditional style, by changing the font style and adding some colour you can bring the style bang up to date. The joy of this personalisation is that you make the rules. So maybe you want your three initials on your key fob, but just one initial on your daily use napkins – and bright pink is your colour. With over 60 fonts and nearly 30 colours your item is guaranteed to be totally unique.

Take a look at the Mark and Graham website and start planning your own monogram. When the bed linen is launched I’ll be deciding on my font and colour, maybe Phoenix in Steel Platinum, and placing my order. The good news is their shipping rates to the UK are very reasonable. If you need inspiration their blog is a treasure trove on typography – if you are a font addict like me it is pure heaven!

Thanks for the link up, Mr! Super excited about the collection because I have some of their other pieces and they are really stylish.
