Lush Designs

May 13, 2014

After the planning and decorating on a project it’s often the accessories and the details chosen that are the elements that shine through and make you love your home. It is always good to find new manufacturers to use on our interiors projects and I recently discovered Lush Designs while looking for some quirky lampshades.

Lush Designs is run by Marie Rodgers and Maria Livings who met while at Maidstone Art College where they studied painting and printmaking. After working together in SE London they started Lush Designs and now operate from a studio at Cockpit Arts in Deptford. They make many of their products at the studio and take part in the twice yearly Cockpit Arts open studio event.

In addition to the lampshades the company has a full range of other homewares including mugs, tea towels, aprons and trays. If you are looking for some funky wallpaper they do a great version with wild boars on. A personal favourite of their products is the Fox and Cubs cushion below. The combination of deep red, black details and quirky graphics produce a great print that is also available on bags, lampshades and mugs. You can find the full range of Lush Designs products on their website or pop along to their shops in Greenwich and Dulwich.
