Finishing touches: Folklore

May 23, 2014

This week for our Finishing touches post we are heading to Islington to Folklore. With the simple principle that “better living is possible through design” the store was opened by Danielle and Rob Reed in 2012 and is now a firm favourite of mine on Upper Street.

Finding good quality crockery for your home can be difficult and you often want different sets for different occasions. The Folklore Stoneware collection would make a great breakfast set for any home – the large mugs are perfect for that morning coffee! It is lovingly hand made in a family workshop in France that has been operating for almost 40 years. The crockery is manufactured in sandstone which gives it a textured appearance and it comes in a selection of colours. Mixing and matching your colours would give you very colourful crockery. The good news is that it’s both beautiful and strong – dishwasher and microwave proof too.

If you are in North London you can head over to the Folklore store at 193 Upper Street to see the full range. Alternatively the entire Stoneware collection can be seen online, and the good news is they ship worldwide!
